It has been awhile but I'm back in the shop getting a few things made.  I have recently cast several different colored blanks, and I'm hoping to turn them all into pens over the course of the next month or so.  I'm available again for special orders after being away for a while (like over a year... time flies).  So if you have something in mind hit me up.  I'm always interested in talking about a custom pen.

To all the fountain pen people out there, please don't be confused by this.   I really like fountain pens, but I also really like playing pool and making and repairing pool cues and also making joint protectors for them.  I know it seems like two totally unrelated subjects, but the process for making both items is nearly the same.  The equipment required to do both types of work is also nearly the same.  So for me this is a natural addition to the stuff I already have for sale.  From the outside in, however, I'm sure it looks kinda disjointed....

   It is the heat of summer here in Nebraska.  The weather is a balmy 95 with about 85% humidity.... so we are ALL miserable.  The good news is that my shop is not air conditioned.  Actually that's totally NOT good news and it means I get to be miserable when I make pens.  But I'm sure there are worse ways to sweat your ass off in the summer :) .     I've gotten a few pens made in the last couple weeks.   If you're bored you should check out the Black and Blue pen pictured with this blog post. ...
